It honors outstanding work of all kinds in two dozen categories ranging from print and collateral to packaging and p-o-p to advertising and promotion to corporate identity and logos to broadcast and motion graphics to internet and interactive design.

The competition is among the largest and most esteemed in the industry. This year, there were a remarkable 8,000-plus entries from across the country. Of these,  a highly selective 15 percent have been recognized with a Certificate of Excellence and winners are also eligible for publication in GDUSA Design Annual and online in the GDUSA.com Awards Gallery.

Gordon Kaye, Editor and Publisher of Graphic Design USA, states: “Graphic designers are an increasingly powerful profession within business and society, helping to communicate and shape our commerce and culture. This year’s honorees include both the established creative talents of our era and newcomers striving to find their place in the sun. Either way, the 2009 American Graphic Design Award winners are among the very best and the brightest that this growing and influential community has to offer.”
